Laleham Lea School has one class with a maximum of 22 students in each year group. The Infant Teachers and Specialist Subject Teachers plan together to create cohesion, enthusiasm and a love of learning at an early age.
Pupils from Early Years, through Infants and Juniors enjoy learning a Foreign Language from the get-go. We believe that this should be a natural part of learning on entry to school.
Our Class Teachers and Specialist Subject Teachers (in Art, Music, Computing, Foreign Languages and Games) create wonderful standards of expectation and aspiration for all to achieve their very best. Small class sizes ensures that each pupil benefits from one to one support, nurturing and personalised learning.
Specialist teaching rooms for Art, Music, STEM, Computing and access to Sports facilities on and off site provide immersion in all subjects, as well as access to swimming from Year 1 upwards.
Instrumental lessons provided by highly qualified musicians, including teachers of Flute, Violin, Clarinet, French Horn, Guitar, Cello, Piano, Drums, Saxophone, Bassoon and Singing.
The transition from Infants to Juniors is seamless; as continuity is provided in the excellent knowledge of each and every Pupil, in our assessments and ‘Moving Up Day’ whereby each Pupil meets their new Class Teacher and enjoys their first taste of life in their next Year group.
Each September we hold a Curriculum Information Evening for our Parents to come and meet our Teaching staff, experience life in the classroom and listen to the Curriculum that will be followed over that Academic year.
