Basketball Star Visit

Olympic Basketball star Pierre Henry-Fontaine visited Laleham Lea for an inspirational assembly and a tough fitness circuit today.
Pierre’s visit was on behalf of Sport for Champions, a community interest company (CIC) who support athletes to overcome financial challenges, such as training, medical bill and competition registration fees.
The now-retired basketball star gave a motivational assembly including diet and fitness information before taking questions about his life and career and then putting the students through their paces with a sponsored fitness circuit.
The £1500 raised from the event will be split between the school to fund sports’ equipment and Sport for Champions to support athletes.
